Phoenix Cleaners
Architect: Singletary
Year Completed: 1947
Location: 125 East 18th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Style: Streamline Moderne / Art Deco
Phoenix Cleaners is a late Art Deco building and is a good example of Streamline Moderne, the last style of the Art Deco movement. Streamline Moderne buildings employ glass bricks and smooth lines, hence the streamline adjective. To some extent, Streamline Moderne was a transition style that was followed by the International Style.
I also like the signage on this building.
