Location: One Williams Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Style: Modern

I worked in this building from 1989 to 1991, and at the time I worked there, it was known as One Williams Center. Since then, the name has been changed to the Bank of Oklahoma Tower.

This building is on the northern edge of downtown Tulsa. It was completed in 1975 and was designed by Minoru Yamasaki & Associates, the same architect who designed the World Trade Center towers in New York City. This structure is very similar to a single tower from the WTC and I understand some of the fixtures on the buildings were even interchangeable. The BOK Tower's lobby with the big marble walls and wall hangings are also very similar to the decor that was in the WTC.

The shorter green building to the right in the picture is the new Williams Technology Center, which was under construction when this picture was taken. The architect for this new structure is Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum (HOK) of St. Louis.
